SIOUX LOOKOUT—The Township of Sioux Lookout is happy to share that as a result of flood waters receding, the Umfreville Trail is re-opened.
Umfreville Trail is a recreation and sightseeing trail that follows the shores of Pelican Lake in the Township of Sioux Lookout.
It boasts a paved trail that is about eight kilometers long, lined with large grassy lawns, and lakeshore and forests filled with beautiful balsam, birch, spruce and white and red pine trees.
For those who are anxious to go out and begin enjoying this trail, it also offers picnic tables, sightseeing benches and information plaques and signs along the route.
The township encourages the community to get out and enjoy the fact that Emfreville Trail is now re-opened.
