KENORA—Recycling is an important initiative for many communities in the region. The City of Kenora supports this and as a result sent out some key reminders to its residents, concerning recycling.

They reminded households of several key things that should be followed when recycling items, including:

  • Placing items loosely in Blue Box or suitable containers. Multiple Blue Boxes may be used.
  • Not using plastic bags or bundle recycle items. Items in plastic bags will not be collected, except for shredded paper.
  • Flattening and crushing to fit more in your Blue Box. Rinse and clean.

In addition, a reminder of what items can be recycled was issued.

Residents requiring more information about the recycling program should visit: https://www.kenora.ca/en/living-here/recycling.aspx
