KENORA – City council may be the face of the community, but before they decide on what is best for their city, they have a team of municipal staff and volunteers who advise them on everything from infrastructure to entertainment.

“Are you interested in serving your community?” the question was proposed on the City of Kenora’s website.

If you are interested, the following boards and committees are looking for volunteers to help make the next four years productive:

  • Accessibility Advisory Committee
  • Crime Prevention and Community Well-Being Advisory Committee
  • District of Kenora Home for the Aged Management Board
  • Heritage Kenora Committee
  • Kenora Police Services Board
  • Kenora Public Library Board
  • The Muse Board
  • Planning Advisory and Committee of Adjustment
  • Sustainability Advisory Committee
  • Synergy North Corporation Board

To apply for these positions, complete an application form along with a resume and email it to Kelly Galbraith, Deputy Clerk or deliver it in person to City Hall.

The deadline for application is Fri., Oct. 7 at 12:00 p.m.
