KENORA — People around the world will be called to take action and participate in Earth Day on April 22.
The Municipality of Kenora, recently asked its residents to not only be aware of the significance of this day, but to also take time themselves to take part in it.
Earth Day highlights that “Eco-anxiety is a mental health issue that is gaining ground and affecting more and more of us.”
Coming together and taking action as a group, or an individual, is a way to make an impact and bring about change. One way to do this is to “call in sick for Earth Day”.
Taking care of the environment and recognizing the global affects of “Global Warming” continues to be a focus of governments across the globe. Earth Day is another way to stand together and continue to bring this awareness to light.
The Municipality of Kenora, shared several links to help its residents be a part of that day.
