KENORA – A Kenora resident is facing multiple charges following a complaint of a robbery with a weapon last month.
According to an Ontario Provincial Police release, officers received a report of a robbery involving a weapon on Feb. 3 around 3:30 p.m.
Officers attended the scene and confirmed that a verbal altercation occurred between two people.
Police say the altercation escalated to one of the involved person's brandishing a weapon.
The subject then took money and keys from the victim and fled in a white SUV.
Police located the vehicle on Main Street and conducted a traffic stop.
Police discovered cash, fentanyl, meth and cocaine in the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, Isaah Miller, 23, of Kenora was arrested and charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, robbery with a weapon, failure to comply with a probation order. Possession of property obtained by crime, careless use of a firearm, weapon, and prohibited device or ammunition.
The suspect has been held for a bail hearing on March 4 at the Kenora Ontario Court of Justice.
