Kenora Recreation Centre ready to greet more residents during March Break

Kenora Recreation Centre is well prepared to not only greet their residents during a variety of activities scheduled this coming week, but their efforts will definitely help to keep families and their children engaged and active during the March Break.

KENORA—Residents of Kenora will have plenty of options for how to stay active during the March Break.

Its Recreation Centre has a full schedule of activities guaranteed to engage family and friends with everything from hockey, swimming and water slides.

They invite everyone to enjoy a fun skate, play some hockey, splash around in the pool or take a ride on the waterslide. They have a variety of $3 swim and skates to choose from.

Swimming and skating are free to the public thanks to the generosity of Ne-Chee Friendship Centre and CUPE Local 191, with events and activities taking part from Monday, March 14 until Friday, March 18.

Monday, March 14 the public can enjoy a $3 public skate from 2:30 to 4 p.m., with free skating on Wednesday, during the day.

Monday to Friday, between 10 - 11:30 a.m., daily, families can enjoy a $3 family swim at Leisure Pool Only. During this same week they will be offering a $3 public swim between the hours of 1-3 p.m. and 6:30-8 p.m.

The City of Kenora, wishes to remind its residents that there are some admission requirements for the pool and arena. For example, for the pool, children between the ages of 9 and 10 must complete a facility swim test if unaccompanied by an adult, before using the pool.
