KENORA—Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police expressed their gratitude to local businesses.

As a result of the support of from several local businesses, the OPP was able to purchase bikes for their OPP patrol.

Local Dingwell Ford, The Standard Insurance Brokers with the help from the Hardware Company, pitched in to purchase two bikes for front line patrols in downtown Kenora. This according to the OPP announcement, is a program that the Kenora detachment has been hoping to set up for the last two years.

Bike patrol is an effective way to cover distance around the city and helps promote an up-front personal approach to policing. Thus, police officers are able to interact with the public.
