Kenora man arrested for impaired driving for 3rd time in past 6 months

KENORA — Provincial police have arrested a Kenora man on impaired driving charges for the third time in the past six months.

Police said officers responded to reports of a man passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle at the Kenora Sports Complex on Bunny Street at around 9 a.m. Sunday.

Police have charged Jayson Wildfong with operation while impaired, failure or refusal to comply with a demand, and three counts of failure to comply with a release order.

Wildfong has had his licence suspended for 90 days and his vehicle has been impounded for seven days.

The charges have yet to be tested in court.
