Kenora Chiefs Advisory hosting Earth Day clean up BBQ, and raffle

Each year on April 22, we celebrate Earth Day. It is a day for everyone to focus on what they can do to make our world better. The Kenora Chiefs Advisory wants to highlight their efforts that day, by hosting their own Earth Day Clean-up event.

KENORA—Earth Day, is an event that occurs yearly on April 22. This year’s theme is: “Invest in Our Planet”. Several school boards, organizations and townships in the region have already asked their communities to “Save the Date”, encouraging everyone to go out and do their part that day.

Kenora Chiefs Advisory wish to let their community know that as part of their Earth Day celebrations, they will be hosting a BBQ, and Raffle on April 22 for everyone who comes out to participate in their Earth Day Clean-Up event.

The event will be held at Anicinabe Park, Kenora, and will run from 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. It will feature family activities, raffle prizes and food made available during those times.

Kenora Chiefs Advisory is a collaboration of independent, participating First Nations. KCA provides programs and services to the First Nations in the field of health, education, and social services in a holistic and traditional way. In that way, it ensures the survival of the Anishinaabe way for present and future generations.

As with so many other opportunities offered by municipalities that day, the Kenora Chiefs Advisory event promises to be a family fun-filled celebration of Earth Day.
