KENORA — The Kenora bypass is back open after it was closed Thursday night as a winter storm arrived in Northwestern Ontario.
Highway 17A had been closed between the east and west junctions of Highway 17 on Thursday evening.
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Kenora area, with a total accumulation of up to 15 centimetres likely. The heaviest snow was expected Thursday evening and overnight into Friday. Strong wind gusts could lead to blowing snow, and cause reduced visibility.
