Keewatin-Patricia District School Board hosting parent/caregiver special presentation

"Online Risks and Emerging Trends" is the focus topic of a parent night special presentation hosted by the Canadian Centre for Child Protection. KPDSB invited its parents, guardians and care-givers to this event.

KENORA — Keewatin-Patricia District School Board invites parents, guardians and caregivers to participate in a special night during which a presentation on “Online Risks and Emerging Trends" will be presented.

The event will be taking place May 4, 2022 and runs from 6 p.m.- 7 p.m.(CST). Hosted by the Canadian Centre for Child Protection, the night will feature topics about trends and resources to assist parents in becoming more aware of information that they can share with their children.

The presentation includes:

  • Insights into concerning trends as seen through operations of Cybertip.ca
  • Canada’s tip line to report sexual exploitation of children.
  • Considerations and resources for talking with children and youth about online safety.

Space is limited and registration is required for this virtual presentation via ZOOM.

Deadline for registration is April 29, 2022
