Keewatin-Patricia District School board closes Red Lake District High School

Severe winter storms often cause the need to close roads, facilities and schools in order to ensure the safety of its residents. Keewatin-Patricia District School Board announced that due to the severe winter storm forecast for the region and concerns with the roof over the library, Red Lake District High School will be closing for two days.

KENORA— Keewatin-Patricia District School Board informed parents of Red Lake District High School that it is closing the school for two days.

As a result of the forecasted winter storm and the structural issues of the roof over the library area of the school, KPDSB stated that, “Out of an abundance of caution, is advising families of the closure of Red Lake District High School for the next two days.”

Therefore, parents, guardians and students were informed that the school will be pivoting to full virtual learning for Wednesday, April 13, and Thursday, April 14, 2022.

KPDSB voiced their hope that they will be returning to the school after the Easter Break.
