Kaministiquia man charged with impaired driving in Red Lake

A 55-year-old Kaministiquia man faces an impaired driving charge after being stopped by OPP officers in the town of Red Lake.

RED LAKE – A 55-year-old Kaministiquia man faces an impaired driving charge after a traffic stop in Red Lake.

The charges stem from a traffic stop conducted by officers from the Red Lake OPP detachment Monday night around 10:15 p.m. in the town.

The man was charged with operation while impaired with a blood alcohol concentration above 80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 milliliters of blood.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Red Lake in July.

The man received a 90-day driver’s licence suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.
