SIOUX LOOKOUT, Ont. – Two individuals are facing impaired driving charges following separate impaired driving incidents.
According to an OPP release, officers observed a vehicle leaving from a bar, displaying erratic driving behaviour on Saturday, March 26 around 1:30 a.m.
Police conducted a traffic stop.
As a result of the investigation, a 29-year-old of Sioux Lookout was arrested and charged with operation while impaired -alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration.
The accused has been released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court April 26 to answer to these charges.
A few days later, officers on general patrol located a vehicle stopped haphazardly on Front Street.
Concerned the driver may be intoxicated, officers conducted a traffic stop on Tuesday, March 29 around 4:30 p.m.
As a result of the investigation, a 44-year-old of Deer Lake First Nation was arrested and charged with operation while impaired -alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.
The accused has been released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court in Sioux Lookout on May 3 to answer to these charges.
