FORT FRANCES — A 41-year-old from Guelph faces an impaired driving charge after a single-vehicle collision.

Provincial police said officers were called to the scene of the incident just after 5:30 a.m. Monday on Highway 602 about one kilometre west of Fort Frances.

Police said the investigation led officers to believe the driver was impaired by alcohol. The driver was arrested and taken to the Thunder Bay OPP detachment for further testing.

The accused, who was charged with one count of impaired driving, was released and is scheduled to appear in a Fort Frances courtroom next month.
