SIOUX LOOKOUT – On Christmas Day one individual received charges under the Criminal Code, Cannabis Control Act, and Highway Traffic Act while at a business on Fifth Avenue South.
According to the Sioux Lookout OPP Detachment, officers responded to a traffic complaint of a suspected impaired driver.
Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.
It was determined was impaired by alcohol and had cannabis readily available.
The 25-year-old driver from Dryden was subsequently placed under arrest and charged with impaired driving, driving without a license and driving with open cannabis.
The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the court on February 27, 2024.
