Ignace free public skating with a st. paddy’s twist

March 17 has long been a fun-filled Irish tradition. St. Patrick's day offers "green beer, Leprechaun costume" and thanks to the township of Ignace, free public skate with a St. Paddy's day theme, will be available to of its residents.

IGNACE — St. Patrick’s Day is Thursday, March 17, and the township of Ignace, wants to help its residents celebrate it.

The township recently announced that free public skating will be available for all ages on that day. Prizes will be given to the best dresses Leprechaun. If that doesn't appeal to you, the township says, "You can just come dressed in a St. Paddy’s Day colour or theme".

That day will also feature a “Teens in Motion” event to run from 6 p.m.to 8 p.m. Prizes for some lucky teens will also be given.

The canteen will be open with hot food and beverages available, for your access and enjoyment.
