THUNDER BAY – Eric Clark was a force in nets for the Dryden Ice Dogs, and it came at the Thunder Bay North Stars expense.

Clark stopped all 33 shots he faced on Saturday night to lead Dryden to a 4-0 win over the Stars at Fort William Gardens, earning the streaking Ice Dogs their seventh straight Superior International Junior Hockey League win as they continue to push for top spot.

It was Clark’s second shutout of the season and second of his SIJHL career.

McLaren Paulsen scored twice for Dryden, with solo goals going to Garrett Hrechka and Kaden Bandura.

Conner Lemieux stopped four of six shots before leaving the game for Thunder Bay, replaced by Keenan Marks in net. Marks made 33 saves on the night.

The North Stars visit Kam River on Wednesday night at Northwest Arena, while the Ice Dogs head south of the border that night to tangle with the Wisconsin Lumberjacks.

Kam River 7, Fort Frances 1: Braeden Duchesne scored twice to lead the Fighting Walleye to a home-ice win. Brydon Bell, Kobe Braham, Jeremy Dunmore, Ryan Doucette and Ethan Lang also scored for first-place Kam River. Andrew Kreis, an affiliate player, made 41 saves to earn the victory in nets.
