VERMILION BAY, ON — Flooding continues to disrupt traffic on various sections of highway in Northwestern Ontario.
The Ministry of Transportation reports Highway 17 east of Vermilion Bay is closed due to a washout.
The closure was reported at 9:30 Tuesday night, and is 10 kilometres east of the Highway 105 junction.
A detour is in place.
The ministry also reports two additional incidents.
Highway 599 is closed 15 km south of Pickle Lake due to a washout.
Highway 641 is also closed because of a washout just north of the Highway 17A junction in Kenora.
