Spring may still be a little while to arrive in some parts of the region.

Several parts of Northwestern Ontario are under a winter storm watch, which was issued by Environment Canada on Wednesday.

The advisory covers the Kenora, Dryden, Fort Frances, Sioux Lookout and Red Lake areas.

The forecast is predicting snowfall amounts between 15 and 25 centimetres beginning Thursday and continuing into Friday.

The heavy and blowing snow is expected to cause near-zero visibility conditions. Wind gusts of up to 60 kilometers per hour are also expected.
