NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO -- A two-day heat event is expected for parts of the region on Thursday and Friday.
Environment Canada says maximum temperatures are expected to reach the low 30s Thursday and Friday with overnight minimums in the high teens, bringing little relief from the heat.
The government weather agency says humidex values are expected to be in the low to mid-30s.
The heat event is expected to come to an end on Saturday with the arrival of cooler air.
