KENORA –Harbourfest is back for its 29 years with a line-up that will send music lovers of all ages to the 80s and 90s.

This year is our 29th year of existence, with the support of our community we hope to be able to continue for many years to come.

“As always, we strive to have something for everyone to bring them out to our evening Entertainment at the Whitecap Pavilion. We have had to make a couple of changes but overall, the response has been good,” said Heather MacMurphy, Harbourfest Chair.

On Fri., July 29, Vancouver rock band Econoline Crush will sparkle and shine on the White Cap stage followed by good time alt-rock band Finger Eleven.

After the first day, Harbourfest is only getting started because on Sat. July 30, The Wild! will be livin’ free as they fill your ear with their punk rock British Columbia attitude. Following The Wild!, get ready for some heavy metal love as Kitchener Ontario band Helix takes the stage to rock you.

On the final day of Harbourfest, July 31, Canadian legend Darby Mills Project will remind you to don’t stop keepin’ on while hair metal band Snake Oil will be covering all the classics.

However, Harbourfest isn't just about the concerts.

Harbourfest features two days of Family Fest, which includes our Kids Zone with bouncy castles, carnival games, a market, entertainers and food trucks both days.

Sunday there is a Classic Car Show and Wooden Boat parade and to finish off the festivities Harbourfest is holding a spectacular Fireworks show.

For the kids, this year we are also featuring a Giant Puppet parade on Saturday and a Sun. morning concert with Canadian legend Fred Penner. Tickets for Fred Penner are $20 each including tax. Can be purchased the same way as our evening entertainment.

“Harbourfest is one of North Western Ontario’s largest summer festivals. The event is run entirely by volunteers,” said MacMurphy. “Our board of directors works tirelessly to bring the event to fruition each year. We rely on our dedicated volunteers to bring all our events to life. We rely heavily on our Sponsors to help us with costs to keep our event affordable to the general public.”

Tickets for each night are $ 75 including tax. Tickets can be purchased online by visiting our website Harbourfest.ca. or stop into Donny B on Main Street in Kenora while supplies last.
