DRYDEN — The Northwestern Health Unit wants residents in the region to stay active. It recently shared information about Participaction Community Better Challenge, returning this June.

Sponsored by the Canadian Government and Saputo, this year's Participaction's Community Better Challenge is set to launch on June 1 and run until June 30, 2022.

The theme for this event is, “Everything gets better when you get active.” The Northwestern Health Unit supports this program and encourages resident to participate in this challenge, connect with others, and get a team together.

Participaction Canada is a national non-profit organization whose goal is to inspire and support Canadians to make physical activity an important part of their daily life.

The global pandemic had limited the opportunities and options available for everyone to maintain physical activity and health. With many restrictions lifted and more and more activities now available to all Canadians, the Northwestern Health Unit wants the public to get active and live better.

More information about the Participaction's Community Better Challenge can be found on Facebook.
