G1 driver faces multiple charges in Dryden

Dryden – A driver with a G1 licence is facing multiple charges following a traffic stop.

The Ontario Provincial Police said members of the Dryden detachment have removed a dangerous driver as a result of proactive policing.

Police said that officers pulled the driver over for speeding and that the driver registered an ALERT on a roadside screen device for having a blood alcohol concentration between 50 and 79 mgs of alcohol.

The driver is facing an automatic 3-day driver’s license suspension as well as multiple charges including speeding 123 km/hr in a posted 90 km/hr zone contrary to section 128 of the HTA, Class G1 license holder- unaccompanied by qualified driver, Class G1 license holder- drive at unlawful hour, Novice Driver- BAC above zero, Class G1 license holder- Carry front-seat passenger.
