KENORA — A motorist learned the hard way on Thursday that driving your vehicle with a partially obstructed windshield is not only unsafe, but illegal.
Ontario Provincial Police North West Region posted a photo on social media showing a vehicle that an officer stopped in the Kenora area.
The driver had taken the trouble to scrape the frost from one side of the windshield before heading out for the road, but left the other side completely covered.
It may have saved some time, but it wound up costing the motorist a ticket for driving with an obstructed windshield, which carries a $110 fine.
OPP used the incident as a reminder to drivers that they must ensure their vehicle windows are free of snow and ice before starting out.
