Frost advisory in effect for parts of the region

NORTHWESTERN ONTARIO -- Environment Canada has issued a frost advisory for parts of the region.

The government weather agency says patchy frost is expected Friday night into Saturday morning.

Cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas. Take preventative measures to protect frost-sensitive plants and trees.

Frost advisories are issued when temperatures are expected to reach the freezing mark during the growing season, leading to potential damage and destruction to plants and crops.

  • Atikokan - Shebandowan - Quetico Park
  • Upsala - Raith
  • Fort Frances - Emo - Rainy River
  • Seine River Village - Mine Centre
  • Ear Falls - Perrault Falls - Western Lac Seul
  • Red Lake - Woodland Caribou Park
