Four people arrested over the long weekend in Kenora

Four people were charged over the long weekend by OPP for various impaired-related offences.

KENORA — Provincial police in Kenora have charged four people for various impaired-related offences. 

On Sunday around 5:30 p.m., officers were called to investigate a disturbance on Lakeview Drive. 

Police arrested a 48-year-old from Kenora who's been charged with impaired driving. 

Also on Sunday, police were investigating a possible impaired driver at Whitefish Bay First Nation with Treaty Three Police. 

The vehicle in question was located on Highway 17E at Reddens. A 28-year-old from Northwest Angle 33 was arrested for impaired driving and driving over the legal limit. 

On Monday, OPP were conducting their RIDE program in the city of Kenora and arrested two drivers. 

A 39-year-old from Shoal Lake 39 is facing three impaired-related charges. A second driver from Kenora, a 31-year-old, is facing drug-impaired and possession-related charges. 

All accused have future dates scheduled with the courts to answer to their charges.
