Fort Frances postpones information session for 2022 municipal and school board elections

The Municipality of Fort Frances had planned a great information session for future Municipal and School Board election candidates. However, as a result of lack of registration for the Candidate & Third-Party Advertisers Information Session for the 2022 Municipal and School Board Elections has been postponed to a new date.

FORT FRANCES—The Town of Fort Frances recently announced that due to the lack of registration, the Candidate and Third-Party Advertisers Information Session for the 2022 Municipal and School Board Elections has been postponed.

The new date for this event is scheduled for April 8 to April 21. City officials asked that if you are interested in running for office, they should register by April 18, 2022.

The Municipality had planned to have these sessions run sooner and is being hosted in partnership with the Town of Fort Frances and the Ministry of Municipal Affairs.

The information session is still free to attend and states that it will provide potential candidates with information regarding such topics as:  Ever wonder what it’s like to be a Mayor or Council Member?  Nomination Process and Eligibility to Run and Council and Staff Responsibilities
