FORT FRANCES – Former Fort Frances council Ken Perry filed his paperwork to run for Mayor of Fort Frances.

Perry is the first person to apply for the position of Mayor.

Back in 2018, Perry lost to June Caul for the mayor spot, but with Caul not running again, Perry is looking to take the big chair on the Fort Frances city council.

In addition, Steven Maki also filed for councillor-at-large, making Maki the fifth person out of six positions alongside Mandi Olson, Incumbent Wendy Brunetta, Incumbent Mike Behan, and Kaleb Firth.

With a few days left until the municipal election officially begins, it looks like Fort Frances already has its council set for November.
