RED LAKE – A nearby forest fire has led the Ministry of Transportation to close Nungessor Road near Red Lake for safety reasons.
The ministry announced the closure on Tuesday evening.
The road is closed in both directions from the junction of Highway 125.
There is no indication how long the road will remain closed. There are currently 45 active fires burning in the Northwest region, eight considered not under control, two being held, 10 are under control and 27 are being observed.
