First Rider program taking place in the region

The First Rider program is preparing youth for their first day of school.

NORTHWEST ONTARIO -- The First Rider program is coming to a few neighbourhoods in the region this week.

The First Rider program is for young, first time school bus riders who are looking for a fun learning experience that helps them prepare for riding the school bus to and from school.

This program provides new students and parents with the opportunity to answer questions they may have regarding riding safety and walking around a school bus,

According to Northwestern Ontario Student Services Consortium, the First Rider program will be in Dryden and Red Lake on Thursday, Sept. 1 and Ear Falls on Monday, Sept.19.

Schedule:
 

  • Red Lake - Thursday, Sept. 1 at 1 p.m. at École catholique des Étoiles-du-Nord
  • Ignace - Thursday, Sept. 1 at 11 a.m. at EarlyON Child and Family Centre
  • Ear Falls - Monday, Sept. 10 at 8:30 a.m. at Eat Falls Public School
