First-degree murder charges laid in 2018 Dryden-area homicide

Three individuals have been charged following a 2018 homicide in the Dryden-area.

DRYDEN -- Dryden OPP have charged three individuals in connection with a Dryden-area homicide that claimed the life of a 28-year-old.

According to an Ontario Provincial Police release, Henry Stone-Arnold was last seen in Dryden during the evening of Aug. 8, 2018.

Police say when Stone-Arnold's vehicle was located at a private business in Van Horne Township on Aug. 9, police commenced a missing person's investigation.

During the investigation, human remains were found on private property on Trist Road that were later identified as belonging to Stone-Arnold.

Evidence at the scene indicated that the cause of death was suspicious, police say.

After a 46-month investigation, three people have been charged in relation to this homicide.

Two individuals are charged with first-degree murder and committing indignity to a body and a third individual was charged with obstructing justice, uttering threats and accessory after the fact (murder).

Police believe the three accused and the victim were known to each other. At the time of STONE-ARNOLD's death, the accused were under the age of 18.

As a result, their names cannot be released under terms of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
