SIOUX LOOKOUT — Sioux Lookout Firefighters will be looking for your help this weekend. They will be helping to Fill the Boot this Saturday, May 14.
The firefighters will be at the intersection of the CN Underpass and Front Street, as well as at the intersection of the Tourist Information Centre and Ed Ariano By-pass, from 10 a.m. until noon.
All donations that day will be raised for Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
According to Muscular Dystrophy Canada, for more than 67 years, “Firefighters from coast to coast have been enduring partners and supporters of Muscular Dystrophy Canada and Canadians affected by neuromuscular disorders. Firefighters have stood beside Muscular Dystrophy Canada since the beginning.”
Funds raised have been used to purchase wheelchairs, hospital beds, leg braces, walkers respirators and other life-changing equipment.
Fill the Boot is Muscular Dystrophy Canada’s largest fundraising event of the year. Sioux Lookout Firefighters ask that everyone show their support this Saturday.
