Faith-based and cultural organizations’ grant nearing end

Time is running out for Faith-based or cultural organizations to apply for a $10,000 grant from the provincial government.

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay-Atikokan MP Kevin Hollard is reminding the public of faith-based or cultural organizations that there is a limited time to get their applications in for an Ontario government grant that supports anti-hate security measures.

“Faith-based and cultural organizations are the cornerstone of our community,” said Holland in a release. “This grant recognizes the extraordinary work undertaken by these groups to lift us up in tough times while providing them with tools they need to continue to providing a safe place for people to practice their faith or connect with their communities.”

Eligible organizations must be registered charities or non-profit corporations that provide regular public activities and gatherings. They must also rent, lease, or own an indoor facility in Ontario.

Application deadlines are Aug. 31.
