Dryden resident charged with drug trafficking

Police arrested and charged one individual for trafficking numerous illicit drugs.

DRYDEN – After arresting a 60-year-old with possession of illicit drugs in the late afternoon on March 18, two hours later police executed a search warrant at a residence on Mary Avenue, according to OPP.

Officers on scene found a quantity of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, hydromorphone pills, oxycodone pills, over $9,000 in Canadian currency, and other evidence of drug trafficking was also located.

As a result, the suspect was charged with five counts of trafficking illicit substances and possessing money obtained by crime.

The accused has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear in court on March 21.
