DRYDEN -- Members of the Dryden and Ignace Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 296 police involved occurrences from Monday, June 13 to Sunday, June 19, 2022.
Police responded to a variety of calls during the week and laid 48 charges under the Highway Traffic Act and Criminal Code. Some of the calls Police attended were;
- RIDE - 5
- E-ticket - 45
- Alarm - 10
- Assault - 4
- Bail violations - 1
- Drug offences - 3
- Domestic occurrences - 5
- Mental Health Act - 8
- Trespass to Property Act - 5
- RIDE - 5
- Liquor Licence Act - 12
- Motor vehicle collision - 11
- Police assistance - 10
- Traffic compliant - 26
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) want to remind the members of the public if you require a criminal record check it can be easily done online at www.opp.ca. The cost for a criminal record check for employment purposes is $41.00. The OPP does not charge for checks for volunteer purposes. The fee for a duplicate copy is $11.00. If fingerprints are required, there is an additional fee of $90.00.
