DRYDEN—Dryden Public Works department announced that they will initiate the collection of Brown Paper Compost Bags free of charge the weeks of June 6 and June 13.
Bags must be ready for pick up by 7:30 a.m. each morning, on June 6 and June 13.
Public Works operations manager, Daryl Pollard, reminds residents that, “The compost bag shall not contain dirt, gravel, rocks, sticks, or wood chips and shall not exceed the maximum weight of 15 kilograms (33 pounds). For the remainder of the year, these bags can be disposed at the Highway 502 Landfill site free of charge.”
According to this notice, compost bags are not available from the city, but can be purchased at several local retailers.
