DRYDEN — With its emergency department continuing to experience high demand, the Dryden regional hospital is increasing access and services through its assessment and treatment centre.
The Dryden Regional Health Centre on Thursday said patients with symptoms of influenza, cough and cold symptoms will be able to get treatment through the assessment centre without first needing to go to the emergency department.
The hospital said patients experiencing COVID-19 or flu symptoms should contact the assessment centre to make an appointment.
Patients with severe symptoms requiring immediate medical attention should go to the emergency department or call 911, the hospital added.
Appointments can be made by calling the assessment and treatment centre at (807) 223-3737 or email [email protected]
The centre's hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday.
