DRYDEN — A 38-year-old from Dryden faces drugs and firearms charges after police searched a residential address in the city.
Provincial police said officers executed a search warrant at a Mary Avenue residence on Wednesday night.
Police said the search led to quantities of suspected fentanyl, cocaine and oxycodone being seized, along with a firearm, ammunition, and items associated with drug trafficking.
The accused is charged with multiple counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, along with one count each of unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
The accused was remanded into custody and was scheduled to appear in a Kenora regional bail court on Thursday.
OPP said the investigation involved members of their Dryden detachment and community street crime unit, along with assistance from street crime units in Red Lake and Sioux Lookout, and the OPP emergency response team.
