Drugs and weapons found during vehicle inspection

One Individual is facing multiple charges after a routine checkpoint inspection in North Caribou Lake First Nation.

NORTH CARIBOU LAKE FIRST NATION - North Caribou Lake OPP and North Caribou Lake checkpoint guards found cocaine, crack cocaine and pills during a vehicle inspection.

They also found two-edged weapons and items associated with drug trafficking.

As a result, a 46-year-old from Dryden has been charged with possession of a dangerous weapon and drug trafficking.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the court on April 25.
