NORTH CARIBOU LAKE — One person faces charges after an investigation into the trafficking of drugs on the North Caribou Lake First Nation, 500 kilometres north of Thunder Bay.

Ontario Provincial Police said they responded Saturday to a call for service at the local airport.

Their investigation resulted in the arrest of a 42-year-old woman from the community, and the seizure of suspected drugs including cocaine, oxycodone pills and hydromorphone.

The accused was held for bail pending an appearance before a judge on April 16.

It is Newswatch policy not to name people facing criminal accusations when we are unlikely to follow the case to its conclusion in the courts.
