Drug bust in Kenora results in charges

Police spotted a suspected illegal drug transaction in Kenora on Tuesday.

KENORA — More drugs have been taken off the streets by Kenora OPP in a recent bust. 

While conducting an investigation near Bernier Drive on April 9 around lunchtime, the Community Street Crime Unit spotted a suspected illegal drug transaction. 

Their investigation ended with one person being arrested. 

A Kenora man, 30, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and opioids for the purpose of trafficking, along with being in possession of proceeds of a crime under $5,000. 

The accused was released from custody and has a future date in court.
