THUNDER BAY — An Atikokan resident is facing impaired and dangerous driving charges after a head-on collision west of Kashabowie on Thursday.
OPP responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 11 around 7:30 p.m..
One person was treated on-scene for non-life threatening injures, said police in a news release.
Police say a vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and the driver was impaired by drug.
A 36-year-old individual has been charged with impaired operation by drug or alcohol and dangerous operation.
The accused’s driver licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The accused has been released and has a court date in Thunder Bay next month.
