KENORA — Provincial police in Kenora stopped a vehicle that went through the Canada-U.S. border in Manitoba.

Police said officers in Kenora were notified on Monday evening to look for a vehicle that ran through the border.

Police found the vehicle, which did not stop for officers, on Highway 17A. A spike belt was used, which stopped the vehicle, and the lone occupant was taken into custody.

A 41-year-old from Big River First Nation Territory in Saskatchewan is charged with flight from a peace officer, impaired driving, and failure or refusal to comply with a demand.
