A fatal crash has closed a portion of the Trans Canada Highway.
Provincial police said the two-vehicle collision happened on Highway 17 east of Upsala on Friday afternoon.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene, while another was taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
The highway is closed between Shabaqua and Ignace.
The incident is being investigated by the OPP's north west region traffic incident management and officers with the Thunder Bay detachment.
