Coney Island seasonal water service delayed

Residents who receive seasonal water services from the City of Kenora may experience delays.

The new Whitecap Pavilion on Kenora’s waterfront has been one of the building blocks in the transformation of the local economy from milltown to full-fledged resort community.

KENORA -- The City of Kenora recently put out a notice to Coney Island residents regarding seasonal water services.

The municipality stated that there may be a delay in restoring seasonal water services for those Coney Island customer who receive these services from the City of Kenora.

The city stated that, “Public works crews are working to activate the seasonal water services to Coney Island; however, there are challenges with deep frost, waterline leaks, and the operation of the sewer station."

Depending on the extent of the repairs needed, the City of Kenora also shared that crews may not be able to restore water service until the May long weekend. They indicated that city crews are working as quickly as possible, given the circumstances.
