KENORA – The charitable foundation, KLWCF, is adding a new person to their team to take over Tara Douglas’ executive director duties.

Mustafa Karim brings his expertise in management from the United States, where he achieved his Master’s degree from Stanford University, where he continued his work with humanitarian non-profits for the last 14 years around the world.

“What attracted me to KLWCF was its grant-making charitable nature,” said Mustafa Karim. “I’m very excited about being able to play a modest role in harnessing the generous contributions of individuals, families, and businesses to support effective non-profits addressing the myriad needs of those residing in Kenora and the surrounding Community.”

Shannon Robinson, President of the Board stated “with this appointment, we’d like to say thank you to the outgoing Executive Director, Tara Douglas who brought tremendous positivity and skills to the position during her time with KLWCF. We are so pleased that Tara will continue to support the Foundation in a volunteer capacity as lead chair for the Festival of Trees which returns in December of 2022.
