ATIKOKAN -- One person was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries following an afternoon collision.
Ontario Provincial Police responded to a collision Tuesday, July 19 on Spring Avenue around 1:44 p.m. in the Town of Atikokan.
Police say the driver had struck a bridge and was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
As a result of an investigation, the driver, a 27-year-old Atikokan resident, was arrested and charged with operation while impaired-alcohol and drugs and refuse to provide with demand.
The accused had his driver's licence suspended for 90 days and vehicle impounded for seven days.
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Atikokan on Aug. 25, 2022.
