FORT FRANCES -- A motor vehicle collision late Monday night has resulted in impaired charged for a Fort Frances man.
According to an Ontario Provincial Police release, officers were advised of a motor vehicle collision on Monday, June 13 just after 9 p.m. at the intersection on McIrvine Road and King's Highway 11, within the Town of Fort Frances.
Police determined that one of the drivers had been consuming alcohol.
The officer made a demand for an approved screening device breath sample, the driver failed and was placed under arrest and returned to the detachment for further tests.
As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old of Fort Frances, was charged with operation while impaired - alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
He was released by way of Undertaking for Fort Frances Provincial Court on July 25 to answer to the charges.
