Collision leads to impaired charges

Kenora OPP has arrested and charged one individual with impaired driving following a collision.

KENORA – OPP Northwest Region is reporting that shortly before midnight on June 10, officers with the Kenora OPP detachment responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Airport Road.

During the investigation, officers determined the driver was impaired with a blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus.

As a result, a 51-year-old from Kenora has been arrested and charged with impaired driving and operation while prohibited.

The accused has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the court in July.

There were no injuries as a result of the collision.
